Nagoya Institute of Technology has established an Article Processing Charge (APC) support program to promote open access to research results. Eligibility for this program and the specific support available vary depending on the journal to which you plan to submit your paper, so please review the information below.
Types of Support
①APC Support through Transformative Agreements (Academic Information Division)
Based on the transformative agreements our university has entered into, you may be eligible for APC support when submitting to journals published by the participating publishers.

②APC Support for Submissions to Top OA Journals (URA Office)
If you are submitting to a journal other than those listed in ①, you may be eligible for the university’s APC support program (application-based; conditions apply).

APC Support Verification Process
- STEP 1: Is the journal you plan to submit to published by one of the following publishers?

- Springer Nature (Exclided titles: Nature Portfolio Journals)
- Wiley
- ACS
- STEP 2: Does the journal meet the following criteria?

- Springer Nature: Q1 or Q2 Hybrid journal
- Wiley: Q1 or Q2 or Q3 Hybrid journal
- ACS: Q1 or Q2 Gold/Hybrid journal
- Yes → You are eligible for “① APC Support via Transformative Agreements”
- No → Proceed to STEP3
- STEP 3: Is the journal you plan to submit to a Q1 journal?

- Yes → Please check “② APC Support for Submissions to Top OA Journals”
- No → You are not eligible for the university’s APC support program.
